What questions do you get asked the most often — about your business, products, processes, or even your personal life? Answer them! Whether it’s in the form of a blog, social posts, stories, videos, or all of the above, answering questions is a great way to create content you know your audience is already looking for. Start by gathering inspiration from emails, DMs, or comments you’ve received, then brainstorm creative ways to deliver!
Pro tip: You don’t have to stick to the overused “I’ve been getting a lot of questions about…” format. Go bold by creating how-to guides, ‘behind-the-scenes’ content, or engaging videos!
2. Ask your audience
Guessing games aren’t all that fun (unless it’s Trivia Night with your friends). So stop guessing what kind of content your audience wants; get to the point by straight up asking them! What are their interests? What do they want to learn more about? What are their biggest problems or hurdles you can help solve? What new products or services would they like to see? There are virtually endless questions you can ask to spark new ideas, so start asking!

3. Tap into your analytics
Analytics provide cold hard facts and data about the content you’ve already created and can help inspire new (or new-ish) ideas. Look back through content like blogs, social posts, and videos to see what gets the most attention from audiences. From there, you can strategize how to repurpose that old content, or you can come up with new and creative ways to expand on those topics.
Pro tip: Don’t be afraid to tap into lower-performing posts, too! They might be worth a second look to see how they can be better optimized (adding more keywords, content, imagery, links to other posts, etc.) and shared again — maybe as a #throwbackthursday?!
4. Put yourself in their shoes
You wear a lot of hats as a business owner, but let’s forget about those for a second and imagine yourself in the shoes of a potential client or customer. What do they need to know about you before they hire you or buy your products? What value can you add to their lives? What unique attributes can you bring to the table that others can’t?
Most audiences need a lot more than a sales push now and again to be convinced of something. And while you may have a gorgeous grid and a shiny new website, it’s ultimately about what you say — and how you say it.
