1. Optimize your website
First thing’s first: an optimized website means optimized opt-ins (say that five times fast). If you don’t present audiences with opportunities to give you their email, chances are they’re not gonna go looking for it themselves. Get creative with these asks by implementing features like:
- An opt-in form on your home page
- Notification bars
- Opt-in buttons in your blog posts
- Utilize sidebars + footers
- Implement pop-ups

2. Promote your opt-ins regularly on social media
When we say regularly, we mean all. the. time. Seriously. All it takes is creating a direct link to opt-in from your social profiles — in your bios, Insta stories, Pinterest posts — everywhere! 3. Collaborate with other businesses with similar audiences
Social media isn’t just great for promoting your business; it’s great for building communities. That means joining forces with other businesses to support one another and grow that email list! You can do things like:
- Podcast interviews
- Virtual summits
- Group giveaways
- Instagram takeovers
- Webinars + free trainings for other people's audiences
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg! Don’t be afraid to slide into other businesses’ DMs to present your ideas for collaborating.

4. Use social media ads
Ads are one of the best ways to target the exact audiences you want on your email list. This option isn’t free, but it can definitely pay off. Depending on who you want to reach (and on what platform), you can use ads on platforms like:
